Asia’s Premier WordPress Conference

When you want something done correctly, sometimes it is better to do it yourself – that is exactly what WordCamp is all about. WordCamp brings together those who power a large part of the world’s economy. It’s not your typical leader forum filled with suits and ties, rather high-tops, hooded jumpers and headphones.

WordCamp Singapore is a community-organised WordPress conference that brings together bloggers, developers, designers, artists, small business owners, entrepreneurs, and educators from Singapore and all across Asia.

So, when you get hundreds of the region’s best WordPress innovators from over 20 countries for two days of sessions, workshops, breakouts and of course fun – big things are going to happen!

Don’t think it’s just about the ‘techies’

One of the misconceptions about WordPress is that it is for just the techies – Wrong. WordPress drives eCommerce; it drives communications; it literally drives billions of dollars of transactions every day – have we got your attention?

Globally there have been over 1022 WordCamp’s, in 75 cities, 65 countries and across six continents! Currently, there is over 75,000,000 live WordPress website powering through over 33% of the world’s web platforms – how is that for numbers!

How did we go this year?

With ChillyBin’s founder and Director Shaan Nicol the lead organiser, things were always going to be taken up a level.

The event was sponsored by global giants WooCommerce, JetPack, Exabytes, Microsoft, General Assembly, UpCloud, GoDaddy, BlueHost, WPDeveloper, HubSpot, WeGlot, SiteGround, WeDevs, Z.com to name a few.

With countless sessions, workshops, conversations and breakout groups that are sure to change the way you and the world do business in the Asia region, WordCamp is basically a must-attend event for anyone involved with WordPress.

In 2016 and 2017, the Singaporean event had less than 250 attendees, but in 2019, there were over 305 registered attendees – this included an audience of 60% who were first-timers to the event.

The event was filled with 30 guest speakers from around the world on topics from specifics on innovation within the WordPress platform through to work/life balance as a freelance web developer or designer; no stone was left unturned.  

We would like to put a special thank you out there for the key team members and organisers who made the event possible, as without them and without those who attended, the event would be nowhere near as powerful and influence on today’s business world as it is today.
